Why a Specialist Matters

Most companies that will hang drywall for you in Shreveport are painters, remodelers or general handymen who take drywall on as one part of a larger job. For straightforward work, that is genuinely fine, and we would not pretend otherwise.

It stops being fine at the point where judgment is required. Whether your ceiling is sagging because the board is undersized for the joist spacing or because it absorbed moisture. Whether the crack above your door is failed tape or a foundation telling you something. Whether your paint sheen actually justifies a Level 5 skim coat or whether that is money you do not need to spend. Those are not questions you answer by looking things up. They come from doing the same trade repeatedly and seeing how each decision plays out over time.

What We Commit To

The finish level goes in writing

The Gypsum Association defines drywall finish across six levels in its GA-214 document, from Level 0 through Level 5. Almost no residential quote in this market names one, which makes comparing bids close to impossible. A cheap Level 3 and a fair Level 4 look identical on a piece of paper and completely different on your wall. We put the level on the quote, room by room where it varies.

Texture gets tested before it touches your wall

Every textured repair starts on a sample board, sprayed and finished exactly as the wall will be, then held against your existing surface in that room's own light. Texture that matches under a work lamp can read completely differently under a window at four in the afternoon. If the first sample is wrong we adjust and spray another.

We tell you when the answer is not drywall

Some of what looks like a drywall problem is a foundation problem, a drainage problem, an attic ventilation problem or a roof problem. Patching over any of those produces a repair that fails and a customer who paid twice. When that is what we are looking at, we say so, even though it means quoting less work.

Built Around the Climate We Work In

Joint compound cures by giving up its water to the surrounding air. For a large part of the year here, that air is already carrying a heavy moisture load, and a joint that would be ready to recoat overnight in January can still be damp on an August afternoon. Crews working to a schedule quoted before anyone checked conditions will coat over it anyway, and the result is the hairline cracking and visible seam banding that turn up months after the painters have gone.

We schedule coats against real drying conditions rather than against a calendar, and when a deadline genuinely cannot move we use setting-type compound, which cures chemically instead of by evaporation. It is harder to work with and costs more in labor, which is exactly why it is not the industry default. It is also why our finishing holds up.

Where We Work

We serve Shreveport and the surrounding Caddo and Bossier Parish communities, including Bossier City, Haughton, Benton, Keithville, Stonewall, Blanchard and Greenwood. That covers a wide span of housing, from the older stock in Highland and South Highlands where plaster and lath is still common, out to newer construction toward Benton and Haughton where the standard build is orange peel walls over half-inch board with knockdown ceilings. Those two ends of the market need very different things from a drywall contractor, and knowing which one you are standing in matters.
